Institute of Infection and Immunity (III) - HIV/AIDS Research Initiative - Capacity Building through Enhanced Operating Grants in HIV/AIDS

CIHR is pleased to announce further research grants offered under the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada.

As one of four federal partners under the Federal Initiative, III administers the CIHR HIV/AIDS Research Initiative and funds meritorious research grants and personnel awards in strategic areas of HIV/AIDS research. In keeping with the intent of the Federal Initiative, the CIHR HIV/AIDS Research Initiative promotes Canadian research, which increases our understanding of the virus, the epidemic and effective responses.

This Request for Applications is intended to build capacity of researchers in HIV/AIDS related fields specific to health services and population health by providing support for operating grants with a component dedicated to providing high quality training and development opportunities for all levels of trainees. Projects were evaluated based on the excellence of the proposed project and for the quality of the opportunity offered to trainees within these projects.
