Results of the Science to Business (S²B) Competition

The Science to Business program is designed to help fill a growing gap between discovery and the transfer to the marketplace. CIHR's considerable investment in research training provides people skilled in health research; however, people with the right blend of science and business skills necessary to commercialize health innovations are in short supply in Canada. This initiative aims to attract talented recent PhD science graduates with a desire to pursue a better appreciation of the entrepreneurial commercialization aspects of health research. It will enable Business Schools to recruit recent PhD science graduates to pursue an MBA to better identify and facilitate the transfer of health innovations into useful products for the benefit of all Canadians.

Six applications were received to the September 1, 2006 deadline and we are pleased to announce that 3 were approved for funding [ HTML ]
